Job summary

Dex is partnering with a company building foundational AI infrastructure. You will own features from architecture to production, shaping product changes identified by the intelligence layer.

You’ll join a small engineering team, building the core AI platform or deploying into acquired companies to ship updates. The work involves designing APIs, data models, and React interfaces to surface real-time operational insight, with a codebase that is predominantly Ruby and occasional Python

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience building and shipping production systems.
• Ownership of full feature lifecycle: data modeling, API design, testing, reliability, deployment.
• Strong in at least one modern stack; able to pick up new languages quickly (codebase is 90%+ Ruby).
• Proven ability to break down ambiguous problems, prioritize high-leverage work, and communicate clearly to non-engineers.
• Interest in AI tooling, LLM workflows, or developer productivity improvements with tangible output.

Responsibilities

• Design APIs, data models, and integrations to pull data from acquired companies into the core platform.
• Build React interfaces that surface real-time operational intelligence.
• Own features end-to-end, from architecture through to production deployment.
• Collaborate with product and commercial teams to shape the roadmap.
• Contribute to a codebase that is 90%+ Ruby, with opportunities in Python.
