Job summary

Flow Traders in London is seeking a senior individual contributor to define long-term technical architecture and engineering standards across the enterprise systems estate, including identity, endpoints, compute, virtualization, OS, storage, databases, and the platforms beneath our enterprise SaaS.

Reporting to the Global Head of IT, you will mentor engineers, drive automation, modernization, and make on-premise versus cloud decisions on merit, with frequent travel to Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior enterprise infrastructure engineering experience (Staff/Principal/Tech Lead).
• Deep expertise in identity and access management, cloud platforms, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Proven success leading cloud migrations, legacy platform retirements, and large-scale modernization initiatives.
• Strong architectural judgment with a vendor-neutral approach to cloud decisions.
• Hands-on automation experience, Infrastructure as Code, and applying AI to improve operations.

Responsibilities

• Define and own long-term architecture and engineering standards for Enterprise Systems.
• Mentor engineers and drive high-quality architecture and design decisions.
• Translate business and tech challenges into clear roadmaps and scalable solutions.
• Lead modernization across identity, endpoint management, compute, and workplace technologies.
• Drive automation and self-service capabilities to improve efficiency and resilience.
• Rationalize and optimize the technology landscape, retiring legacy systems.
• Own platforms supporting enterprise apps, including SSO, provisioning, integrations, and data flows.
• Champion engineering excellence through testing, validation, and lab-first deployments.
• Based in London with frequent travel to Amsterdam headquarters.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and influence cross-functional alignment.
