9fin is seeking a Staff Engineer to drive the technical vision for Core Markets. You will own end-to-end architecture, define direction across Platform, AI, Retrieval, and shared services, and ensure scalability as the business expands globally.

You will partner with Engineering Leaders and Staff Engineers, guide multiple teams through complex design decisions, and contribute hands-on to critical code paths while raising engineering standards and productivity across the organisation.

Qualifikationen

• Designs and builds large-scale backend systems and distributed architectures.
• Leads cross-team technical initiatives and shapes technical direction.
• Proficient with cloud infrastructure (AWS), Kubernetes, APIs, and modern backend development.
• Familiar with AI-powered systems, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), search platforms, or vector databases.
• Strong programming experience in Python or another modern backend language.
• Comfortable influencing technical direction without direct authority.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for mentoring engineers and raising standards.

• Leverage AI-assisted engineering to improve productivity and accelerate delivery.
