Job summary

9fin is hiring an AI Engineer to build large-scale AI-powered systems for debt markets. You will apply ML, NLP, and knowledge-graph approaches to automation, data understanding, and decision support. You’ll collaborate with researchers and engineers across product areas to deploy reliable, scalable AI solutions.

The role emphasizes end-to-end model development, experimentation, and a strong product focus to deliver measurable impact for users and clients in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python for production-ready delivery.
• Deep expertise in information retrieval and embeddings.
• Experience with knowledge graphs and graph-based inference.
• Experience with recommender systems and ranking.
• Experience with tabular ML and feature engineering.
• Understanding of GenAI trends and agentic frameworks.
• Experience across the full model lifecycle (experimentation to deployment).
• Strong product focus and end-to-end impact awareness.
• Good knowledge of AWS AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build generative AI applications for financial/legal workflows using state-of-the-art models.
• Lead end-to-end model development lifecycle with reproducible research and deployment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to share ideas and mentor teammates.
• Translate complex problems into well-defined scoped bets in a startup-style environment.
• Learn and apply cutting-edge research, iterating with a fail-fast mindset.
• Advocate and drive AI adoption across 9fin.
