Job summary

Client Server in London is seeking a Staff Engineer / Developer to shape the technology strategy and build scalable services using C#/.NET, AWS and Python. You will work with cross-functional Agile teams in two-week sprints, championing best practices and driving AI-powered improvements.

The role offers high impact, direct CTO exposure and a hybrid London-based/remote working arrangement with a clear path to progression.

Qualifications

• Experienced Software Engineer/Developer with modern software engineering practices.
• Strong C# backend development, ideally also Python.
• Good knowledge of AWS.
• Experience with highly scalable systems.
• Strong CS fundamentals: OOP, data structures, design patterns.
• Experience or interest in AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot).
• Strong analytical, planning and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape technology strategy and architect scalable services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams in two-week sprints.
• Champion engineering standards and deliver high-quality software.
• Drive AI adoption across the business (chatbots, automation).
• Report to CTO with visibility into technical direction and impact.
