Job summary

SoSafe in the United Kingdom seeks a Staff Engineer to push automation and AI-native capabilities across IT and Security. You will architect and evolve our toolchain, mentor teams, and help scale platforms with a blend of coding and systems thinking.

You will balance speed and cost, design hybrid architectures, and collaborate with citizen coders and executives to accelerate adoption while reducing risk.

Qualifications

• Experience operating at Staff Engineer level in cloud-native SaaS environments.
• Hands-on coding background; able to guide others to build reliable automation.
• Proven AI-native adoption with production-grade automations or agents.
• Mastery of infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD platforms.

Responsibilities

• Architect and iteratively build a toolchain combining automation tools with AI-driven design.
• Mentor early adopter teams, drive platform value, and gather feedback for improvement.
• Standardise practices to scale platforms across the organisation.
• Advance IT operations toward an as-code infrastructure model.
• Contribute to IT/Sec Operating System during platform modernization.
• Lead and upskill the IT engineering team and other departments.
• Advocate for automation platforms across departments to break silos.
