Job summary

Beamery is hiring a Staff Data Engineer to set the data platform's technical direction and lead the work that follows. This is the most senior individual contributor role in data engineering, owning the platform’s long-term architecture and partnering with EPD leadership on cross-team work.

You’ll design for multi-tenant, AI-ready data layers, streaming and batch pipelines, and guide other teams through architectural decisions while communicating tradeoffs to executives.

Qualifications

• Experience building data platforms for internal and external consumers.
• Experience with multi-tenant architectures and large-scale data systems.
• Ability to lead initiatives across teams without formal authority.
• Strong communication with executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy for the data platform and define multi-quarter architectural vision.
• Architect analytics, semantic and AI data layers for metrics and signals.
• Set scalable architectural patterns and data contracts across teams.
• Ensure reliability, observability, data quality, SLAs and incident response.
