Job summary

Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, is building a world-class AI cloud platform. We seek a Staff Software Engineer to define the technical vision for a heterogeneous compute lifecycle and control plane at massive scale.

You will lead cross-team efforts spanning BIOS/firmware, Linux kernel, and DPU integration, guiding design reviews and roadmap decisions. You will mentor senior engineers, collaborate with product and data-center teams, and translate customer requirements into scalable infra

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in compute control plane distributed systems for heterogeneous compute platforms.
• Deep expertise in durable execution models and distributed systems for cloud provisioning.
• Basic knowledge of software defined networking for multi-tenant systems.
• Proven track record leading large-scale semiconductor hardware enablement projects.
• Experience deploying new data centers into global compute platforms.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Rust, Python, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Designing a highly available GPU/CPU host and instance lifecycle control plane.
• Guide decisions on semiconductor architecture, BIOS/firmware, boot methods, and DPU utilization.
• Shape the multi-tenant security model for the compute platform.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across several teams.
• Collaborate with product and data center teams to translate customer requirements into scalable capabilities.
• Translate customer needs into concrete engineering deliverables.
• Set engineering standards and lead design reviews for cloud software at scale.
