This is a remote position. We are looking for candidates in the United Kingdom only.

What are we doing?

Grafana is a highly successful open-source project with over a million instances worldwide. It serves as the main frontend for Grafana Cloud, enabling users to visualize telemetry data and troubleshoot infrastructure and applications more easily.

As our Cloud / Grafana-as-a-service business grows, we are evolving Grafana's core architecture to be fully multi-tenant, scalable, and a robust platform for our Cloud applications.

Who are we looking for?

We seek an experienced professional with extensive SaaS platform experience at scale. Our goal is to transform Grafana into a comprehensive observability app platform that integrates dashboards, alerts, incidents, and telemetry for both OSS and proprietary apps.

You will play a key role in refactoring Grafana to make it simpler, standardized, and safer to update, ensuring minimal service disruption across diverse platforms.

Requirements:

• Strong coding skills and operational experience, responsible for the software you develop.
• Experience with SaaS platforms, addressing scalability, multi-tenancy, data isolation, HA, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of clear written and verbal expression.
• Ability to collaborate across teams, align with other squads, and incorporate feedback.
• Pragmatism, prioritizing progress over perfection, and comfort with ambiguity.
• Familiarity with Golang or enthusiasm to learn it.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Developing new features, improving operational systems, and iterating based on production insights.
• Contributing to and reviewing design documents.
• Shaping the product roadmap.
• Mentoring colleagues and collaborating across teams.
• Participating in on-call rotations to support customer experience.

In the United Kingdom, the base salary range is GBP 100,930 - GBP 121,116. Actual compensation depends on experience and skills. Benefits include equity, bonuses, and other perks listed on our careers page.
