Job summary

Linktree is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to own end-to-end AI applications—building data pipelines, implementing prompt and feature engineering, and deploying production-ready AI features across its core surfaces. You’ll work with product and engineering to translate problems into scalable solutions for a rapidly growing user base.

Qualifications

• 6+ years engineering experience in data-intensive production systems.
• Familiarity with modern AI engineering techniques such as prompt-engineering, eval loops, and technologies like Gemini, Claude and OpenAI APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools/frameworks (e.g., Braintrust, AutoEval) and/or MLOps tools (Airflow, MLflow, Vertex AI).
• Solid understanding of data engineering practices, including ETL, batch/streaming pipelines, and data quality monitoring.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and maintain AI agents and features across core product surfaces.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to translate problems into solutions and drive roadmaps.
• Design scalable data pipelines for feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and real-time inference.
• Establish engineering best practices for AI evaluation design, prompt management, testing, and monitoring.
• Lead technical design reviews and mentor engineers on AI foundations.
• Evaluate and adopt new AI techniques, frameworks, and tooling to stay at the frontier of AI.
