Job summary

Linktree is seeking a Staff AI Engineer who operates at the nexus of software, data, and AI. You’ll own the end-to-end lifecycle of AI features—from data pipelines and prompt engineering to deploying high‑throughput, low‑latency services used by 70+ million users.

You’ll build AI agents across core surfaces, partner with Product and Engineering to translate problems into scalable solutions, and design data pipelines for training, evaluation, and real-time inference.

Qualifications

• 6+ years engineering experience in data-intensive production systems.
• Familiarity with prompt-engineering, eval loops, and AI tooling (Gemini, Claude, OpenAI).
• Hands-on with AI tools/frameworks and/or MLOps tools (Airflow, MLflow, Vertex AI).
• Solid data engineering practices including ETL, batch/streaming pipelines, and data quality monitoring.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and containerization.
• Ability to prototype and iterate quickly using build-measure-learn loops.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and maintain AI agents and features across Linktree’s surfaces (personalisation, recommendations, analytics).
• Partner with Product and Engineering to translate problems into production solutions and drive roadmaps.
• Design scalable data pipelines for feature engineering, training, evaluation, and real-time inference.
• Establish and uphold engineering best practices for AI evaluation, prompt management, testing, and monitoring.
• Lead technical design reviews and mentor engineers on AI foundations and production-grade patterns.
• Evaluate and adopt new AI techniques, frameworks, and tooling to stay at the frontier of applied AI.
