Sodexo Live! at St James’ Park, Newcastle United FC, is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the busy kitchen teams during matchdays and events. You’ll help maintain high standards of cleanliness, handling a high volume of crockery and kitchen equipment with care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment is beneficial.
• Attention to cleanliness and hygiene in high-volume settings.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays during matchdays.

Responsibilities

• Clean crockery, cutlery, trays, pots, pans, utensils to required standards.
• Maintain a continuous supply of clean kitchen equipment for cooks.
• Keep potwash area clean and hygienic.
• Collect, sort, and process dirty equipment efficiently.
• Return cleaned items to storage promptly and organized.
• Assist with cleaning of surfaces, floors, sinks, and dishwashing equipment.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and COSHH procedures.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and report faults promptly.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning products and consumables.
• Support chefs with general cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Assist with opening/closing/end-of-service cleaning duties.
• Collaborate with kitchen teams to meet busy matchday demands.
• Stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing workloads.
