Job summary

Sodexo Live! at St. James’ Park, Newcastle United Football Club, is recruiting a Casual Matchday Kitchen Assistant to support the kiosk cook and help deliver high‑quality catering during matchdays and events.

You will assist with preparation, cooking and presentation of menu items, manage stock, maintain food safety and hygiene, and work as part of a friendly, fast‑paced team to ensure an excellent experience for supporters.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen, catering or food preparation environment is essential.
• Understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, food safety, allergen management and health and safety procedures.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team during busy service periods.

Responsibilities

• Support the Kiosk Cook with running the kitchen and coordinating food preparation and service.
• Assist with preparation, cooking and presentation of menu items to required standards.
• Take responsibility for kitchen duties in the absence of the Kiosk Cook as appropriate.
• Ensure food is prepared, served promptly and maintained with high safety and hygiene standards.
• Help organise kitchen tasks, monitor stock levels, and communicate replenishment needs.
