Job summary

Avanti Grange Secondary School in Bishop's Stortford is seeking a Communications Assistant (Specialist Resource Provision) to support students with additional needs to access learning and participate confidently in the mainstream classroom.

You will work with the Specialist Teacher and wider team to create an inclusive learning environment, observe progress, and share feedback with teachers while promoting safeguarding and wellbeing across the school community.

Responsibilities

• Support SRP students to access learning and participate in the mainstream classroom.
• Work with the Specialist Teacher to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage positive relationships and confident transitions into the wider school community.
• Observe progress and provide teachers with meaningful feedback on student development.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion across the school.
