Clear Street is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our production engineering team in London. You’ll own health, resilience, and recovery of our cloud-native platform, building automation and observability to reduce toil and MTTR.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable systems and scalable tooling. You’ll be measured by SLOs/SLIs, incident reduction, and effective runbooks, with opportunities to innovate in AI-assisted

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Python and automation experience.
• Proven production ownership and incident response.
• Deep familiarity with cloud-native tech and distributed systems.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and incident analysis.
• Terraform, GitOps, and CI/CD tooling experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Design and build comprehensive monitoring/observability platforms to surface the right signal.
• Develop automation and self-healing capabilities to reduce MTTR without manual intervention.
• Analyze incidents, identify trends, and engineer preventive solutions.
• Build runbooks and diagnostic tools to scale platform capabilities.
• Create golden-path workflows to simplify safe, reliable engineering processes.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to influence CI/CD and deployment safety.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices in the team.
• Measure production health with SLIs/SLOs/SLAs and drive reliability-driven priorities.
• Explore AI-assisted diagnostics and developer tooling to improve operations.
