Job summary

IQVIA is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineering Lead to head a CloudOps team delivering mission-critical cloud services for a UK Public Sector client. The role blends hands-on technical work with leadership to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of AWS-based platforms.

You will drive automation, implement IaC with Terraform and Ansible, build CI/CD pipelines, monitor performance, and ensure security governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in CloudOps/DevOps/SRE roles.
• Proven leadership capabilities for managing a CloudOps team.
• Strong AWS knowledge and Linux/containerisation experience.
• Proficient in Python and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and incident management.
• Eligible for DBS check and UK Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage a CloudOps team.
• Oversee on-call rota and 24/7 readiness.
• Design and implement IaC solutions with Terraform and Ansible.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of AWS resources.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise cloud services for uptime.
• Maintain disaster recovery and security governance documents.
• Collaborate with QA, Product and Development teams to improve reliability.
