Job summary

Modis is seeking a Managing Consultant in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to transform clients toward proactive, product-aligned reliability. You will embed SRE as a core discipline across cloud and hybrid environments, working with senior leaders and platform teams to deliver scalable, reliable cloud operations.

You’ll lead engagements that define operating models, establish measurable reliability targets, and influence stakeholders to adopt modern engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in SRE, cloud operations, or DevOps.
• Proven consulting or advisory background.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to obtain UK SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and embed SRE engagement models aligned to modern engineering and traditional ITSM/ITIL practices.
• Establish SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets.
• Shape observability strategies using metrics, logs, and traces.
• Design incident response models and post-incident learning loops.
• Reduce toil through automation and engineering excellence.
• Deliver SRE capability assessments and roadmaps.
• Act as a trusted senior advisor to stakeholders.

We're looking for a Managing Consultant in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to help organisations shift from reactive operations to measurable, product-aligned reliability - embedding SRE as a core engineering discipline across cloud and hybrid environments.

You’ll work with senior leaders, engineering teams, and platform organisations to design operating models that deliver availability, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence at scale.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of a growing Cloud Advisory capability, you’ll lead and shape client engagements focused on reliability, resilience, and modern cloud operations.

• Define and embed SRE engagement models aligned to modern engineering and traditional ITSM/ITIL practices
