Job Description:

As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Senior Solutions Architect within the Strategic Accounts segment, you are responsible for partnering with our most valuable & technically capable customers, to design cloud architectures utilizing AWS services. You will blend business acumen with technical guidance to engage with enterprise-scale organizations at all stages of cloud adoption, helping them reinvent their businesses using AWS technology and guiding them on their cloud journey.

Your role involves helping customers solve business challenges such as rapid product/service deployment or building elastic, scalable, cost-optimized applications. You will influence product direction by engaging with AWS product owners and help develop new markets through AWS Services and architectural approaches.

Through your interactions, you will identify patterns and trends to assist other customers in accelerating innovation. As a trusted advisor, you will help organizations understand and implement advanced cloud solutions, migrate workloads, and build AWS knowledge. You will also collaborate with internal teams and represent your team to executives.

Ideal candidates possess broad and deep technical expertise, business insight, and leadership skills for in-depth technical discussions, articulating the business value of AWS services. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Build long-term customer relationships, understand their environment and business, and offer technical guidance.
2. Lead trusted relationships with C-suite executives and enterprise architects, understanding their technology challenges and business needs.
3. Manage the technical relationship, influencing on AI/ML, app modernization, security, cost, and performance topics.
4. Create a holistic technology vision and transformation plan based on customer needs, addressing challenges and increasing business impact.
5. Develop and execute strategies to promote AWS adoption, and influence AWS strategy externally and internally.
6. Author customer-facing publications like solutions, blog posts, and white papers.

Qualifications:

Basic: Background in cloud architecture, systems design, software development, infrastructure, data engineering, or DevOps; strategic thinking; passion for technology and learning.

Preferred: Experience with large-scale IT systems, cloud-native architectures, multiple technology domains, AWS certifications, and experience with cloud migrations or transformations.
