Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a Bulk Loading Operator to oversee routing and loading of sugar, ensuring on-time deliveries and compliance with internal processes. The role includes operating from the control room, preparing paperwork, and coordinating with transport providers at the UK site.

You will maintain quality checks, support after hours operations, and work to safe systems of work while collaborating with maintenance and other teams.

Qualifications

• GCSE C grade or above is required.
• Experience in distribution, logistics, or a warehouse environment is desirable.
• Proficiency in MS Office is expected.
• Experience with SAP, TransWorks, or TruckScale systems is advantageous.
• Strong customer focus and results-driven attitude is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and a good team player are important.
• Ability to make decisions independently.

Responsibilities

• Route sugar shipments in dry and liquid form per refinery requirements.
• Operate Bulk Loading from control room and in-field.
• Prepare distribution documentation and update in-house systems.
• Coordinate with 3rd party transport and internal teams to meet targets.
• Provide out-of-hours distribution support and order creation.
• Ensure Certificates of Analysis and loading paperwork are completed.
• Complete all Quality & Environmental checks in the Bulk Loading area.
• Troubleshoot Bulk Loading issues and liaise with maintenance.

OVERVIEW

This roles primary function is to facilitate the correct routing and loading of both dry and liquid sugar through the Bulk Loading operation, and ensuring administration and delivery processes are completed in compliance with business requirements.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete routing of sugar in both dry and liquid formates in line with refinery and production requirements and carry out bulk loading of tankers to meet all internal and external customer requirements
• Run all Bulk Loading building operations, encompassing control system operation from the control room and manual field operation
• Complete required distribution documentation for loading and delivery processes and maintain required in-house business systems
• Work with 3rd party transport providers and other areas of the business to ensure prioritization of the bulk loading operations to ensure targets achieved
• Provide distribution operational support for out of hours; specifically customer contacts, administration duties and order creation
• Ensure all Certificates of Analysis are properly completed and supplied along with other documentation for all loads leaving site
• Complete all Quality & Environmental checks and associated paperwork within the Bulk Loading area
• Fault find issues within Bulk Loading operation and liaise with maintenance teams to resolve if required
• Understand and operate safe systems of work

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• GCSE (or equivalent) C grades or above
• Experience within a distribution, logistics, process or warehouse environment
• An intermediate level of MS Office
• Experience with business logistics IT systems i.e., SAP, transworks, truckscale
• Strong Customer focus and results driven
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), internal and external facing
• Good team player
• Strong decision making ability, and able to work independently
