A leading company in the automotive sector is seeking an experienced engineer to design and develop automotive sub-systems. The role involves using CAD tools, conducting safety analyses, and managing project coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in functional safety validation and project management, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality automotive components.
Design and develop automotive sub-systems for passenger cars using CAD tools such as Catia V5 and Enovia PLM.
Facilitate and complete System FMEA for safety analysis, support component DFM for safety considerations.
Perform functional safety validation, impact analysis, and make recommendations on functional safety status.
Select manufacturing processes and design parts to meet functional strength and durability requirements.
Create detailed designs, 3D models, and production release drawings in accordance with OEM specifications.
Coordinate testing, prototyping, and validation activities with internal teams and external suppliers, including offshore design centers.
Conduct manufacturing feasibility analyses and develop engineering solutions.
Manage B-releasing activities in Bentley System and optimize costs of designed parts. Draft Product Data Management (PDM) documentation.
Provide organizational support by arranging meetings and preparing departmental newsletters.
Create, coordinate, and maintain the status of strategic projects, highlighting risks to relevant managers.
Make routine decisions to support project progress and coordinate project communications, ensuring confidentiality.
Manage project coordination in the absence of the project manager.
Develop and maintain regular reports and database information.
Ensure timely and accurate generation and distribution of project information, including presentations and reports.
Provide administrative support to ensure task coordination and consistency.
Forecast, monitor, and control product development activities.
Coordinate re-forecasting activities and support negotiations with stakeholders.
Identify issues or risks affecting daily operations and recommend remedial actions.
Analyze data to support process improvements and support other project activities as required.
