A Day in the Life

The senior payroll analyst plays a critical role in management and oversight for payroll processes serving as a vital link between employees and the business ensuring that employees are paid timely and accurately. This role involves in-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and the capacity to work with payroll software systems, indicating a blend of technical expertise and regulatory comprehension.

This role will be part of our global payroll team providing support for up to 1,000 employees across 5 EMEA Countries as we operationally separate from Medtronic to an independent business.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the payroll vendor platform to process payroll for employees across multiple EMEA locations.
  • Enter, review, and validate payroll inputs, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and benefits deductions.
  • Manage and process special payroll cycles, such as bonuses, commissions, and equity awards, and ensure all payroll processing adheres to company policies and local and international statutory regulations.
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports each pay period to ensure accuracy of employee payments, vendor remittances, and statutory filings.
  • Partner with HR and Finance teams to streamline data flows and resolve issues related to employee data and integrations.
  • Contribute to projects involving payroll implementations, upgrades, and integrations with other finance systems.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • At least 7-10 years’ experience in high-volume payroll processing, auditing, with direct hands‑on experience and handled multiple countries.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and keen into details.
  • Strong communicator with analytical and problem‑solving skills. Good English communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and manipulation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Additional desirable qualifications include proficiency with CloudPay or ADP payroll systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably Accounting, Finance or Business.
