Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Sr. Associate, Warehouse & Distribution Operations in Camberley to ensure efficient processing of supplies and products through the warehouse and delivery systems.

You will be the single point of contact for internal teams and will drive improvements in warehousing, distribution, and logistics accuracy. The role requires a foundational supply chain background (A level or equivalent), experience in FMCG or medical environments, and strong Excel/analytical capabilities.

  • Intermediate Excel skills.

  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams on a local and global level.
  • Experience with SAP is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage relations with warehouses, carriers, customs brokers and customer services teams.
  • Assess and resolve issues relating to warehousing, distribution, customer problems, import/export, and logistics systems.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logistics data for daily, weekly, and quarterly reports including usage metrics, customer issues and resolutions, training records, work logs, and schedule documentation.
  • Provide comprehensive logistical support daily for both inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Work to improve the logistics process by negotiating with suppliers, increasing efficiency, reducing unnecessary steps, and creating innovative solutions for logistical issues.
  • Support simplification and standardization of processes to accelerate logistics and enhance efficiencies.
  • Assist internal and external audits.
  • Vendor invoice management including supporting accruals setting with the Finance Team.

We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to be responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages and products are processed through the delivery and/or warehouse system, efficiently, timely and safely. This role will give you the opportunity to operate & improve inbound and outbound warehouse and distribution processes for wholesalers & end customers, being the SPOC of our internal customers (e.g., Customer Service, Account Managers, Finance Team). We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated individual to join our team who can thrive in an agile working environment.

Typical day in this role will include:
