At Serco, we have an exciting opportunity for a Squadron Authorisations Coordinator to join the team at RNAS Culdrose.
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage authorisations for the 700X Naval Air Squadron, ensuring all authorisations are accurately collated and issued for final approval and signature. By overseeing this critical process, you will play a vital role in supporting the operational effectiveness of the 700X Naval Air Squadron, maintaining compliance, safety, and readiness across its engineering activities.
Producing and maintaining all Squadron Engineering and Local Authorisations, including the collation of certified training and competency assessments, before presenting the packs to the AEO for approval and signature.
Maintaining the Squadron Training Achievement Recording System (STARS)(ENG) to accurately record current authorisations and forecast competency check requirements.
Maintaining, coordinating and controlling Technical Record Cards (TRC), competency assessment records for all squadron personnel.
Maintaining and coordinating annual Health & Safety training database.
Maintaining and coordinating Naval Continuity Training (NCT) database.
Providing subject matter expert advice and assistance to CU FW unit authorisation managers and Quality Assurance (QA) Department through:
Where required by Customer Regulations and Procedures employees are authorised to carry out contracted tasks.
All contracted tasks are carried out in accordance with current Customer Policy and Regulations and other applicable statutory Regulations and Serco Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Contracted tasks are completed in a timely manner.
The AESAS Support Manager is made aware of all business risks and all verbal and written customer complaints/Quality issues.
Further training courses and any administration tasks as deemed necessary to their job are attended as required by their AESAS Support Manager.
Ensuring best practice and assurance of regulatory compliance by the utilisation of Assure and any other reporting medium to capture and communicate findings and actions from engineering, safety and near miss events.
Monitoring hazards and ensuring risks, and issues are identified and quantified.
They participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and associated programmes when required.
To remain flexible and carry out any other tasks within their capabilities and experience in support of the Contract, as directed by the Contract Director or their representative.
To promote Serco's professional Company image in all liaisons with internal and external agencies.
Must have experience in military/industry airworthiness environment equivalent.
Meet the requirements of RA4806 for award of MAM-P authorisations as required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Completed a Maintenance Human Factors Course.
An understanding and proven experience of Airworthiness Engineering Safety and Compliance iaw Regulatory and Legislative requirements (MAA and MAOS).
A good capability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining operational outputs.
