Position: Database Administrator

Description

The role involves implementing data models, database designs, data access, and table maintenance codes. The candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting SQL Server databases, including upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and security.

Experience and Skills Required

1. SQL Server instance/database upgrade and migration
2. Clustering, database mirroring, log shipping, and AlwaysOn replication (implementation, design, support)
3. PowerShell scripting knowledge
4. Database performance tuning and diagnostics (using SQL Profiler, Extended Events, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, etc.)
5. Proficiency in T-SQL (views, functions, stored procedures, triggers) for development and optimization
6. Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS), and Analysis Services (SSAS) administration
7. Backup and recovery, index design, and analysis
8. Managing large databases and monitoring system health and performance
9. Ability to work in a focused environment with applications requiring quick response times
10. Familiarity with ITIL service management processes
11. Knowledge of Windows OS administration

Responsibilities

3. Resolve database performance, capacity, and replication issues
