Job summary

Hall & Kay in Birmingham is seeking a Service Engineer to deliver PPM and small works across multiple buildings. You will service valve sets, carry out 5-point flow tests on fire pumps, and perform general service checks to uphold safety standards.

The role requires experience with sprinkler systems, a full UK driving licence, and preferably Sprinkler Installation Level 2. The company offers a competitive salary, a company van with fuel card, and a supportive, team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing valve sets: Wet, Dry, Alternate, Deluge and Pre-Action (essential).
• Experience carrying out 5-point flow tests on sprinkler fire pumps and general service checks (essential).
• Experience in Plumbing / Piping.
• Knowledge & fault finding on sprinkler systems (essential).
• Must have a full UK driving licence able to cover a regional role (essential).
• Sprinkler Installation Level 2 qualification (desirable).
• Previous experience in Commercial / Industrial buildings (desirable).
• Experience in small works install (desirable).
• Experience and understanding of electronic reporting (desirable).

What you will be doing

• Responsible for PPM and small works projects across a few buildings
• Servicing all types of valve sets
• Carrying out 5 point flow tests on fire pumps
• Conducting general service checks

What we will need from you

• Experience in servicing all types of the following valve sets: Wet, dry, alternate, deluge and pre-Action (essential)
• Experience of carrying out 5-point flow tests on sprinkler fire pumps and general service checks (essential)
• Experience of Plumbing / Piping
• Knowledge & fault finding on sprinkler systems (essential)
• Must have a full UK driving license able to cover a regional role (essential)
• Sprinkler Installation Level 2 qualified (desirable)
