The Role
We are looking for a motivated and experienced engineer with a strong work ethic and previous experience servicing and repairing mist & sprinkler systems and working with retro-fits and other commercial buildings. You will be an excellent communicator, take pride in your work and comfortable with travel and overnight stays.
This role will work in tandem with an Improver/Fitters mate, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable working closely with a colleague and comfortable commuting regularly with them.
Key Responsibilities
- Install red oxide / galvanised steel threaded pipework.
- Experienced using a threading machine with consistent results.
- Understand and interpret an array of sprinkler design drawings.
- Understand sprinkler head spacing and have a basic knowledge of BS EN 12845 installation standards.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring,pipe and hose fitting and plumbing works.
- Proactive way of working, able to react quickly and logically to provide solutions.
- Demonstrable experience with the safe use of handheld equipment and tools.
- Basic IT skills, including report writing ability.
Key Skills
- A valid CSCS card. Ideally this will be in a sprinkler/pipefitting related occupancy, can be considered with any CSCS card if they are willing to undertake a VRQ Level 2 in sprinkler installation in the near future.
- Must have a driving licence with 6 points or less.
- Ensuring consistency across all work completed, maintaining the highest level of safety and quality.
- Travelling to customer sites to complete work; ensuring site induction and risk assessments are completed prior to commencing work.
- A wilingess to work in various locations throughout the UK Monday-Friday.

Located in West Yorkshire, the company operates from premises just off the M1, which accommodate its design, sales, commercial, and administrative teams, as well as featuring an area for product demonstrations.
