Job summary

Hall & Kay is seeking a Main Contracts Design Engineer to lead the design, coordination, and delivery of automatic sprinkler systems for major construction projects across commercial, industrial, logistics, pharmaceutical, data centre, aviation and high-rise developments.

You will work closely with clients, consultants, architects, contractors and internal teams to ensure compliant, cost-effective designs on programme and in line with LPC Rules, BS EN 12845, NFPA and project specifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing automatic sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of LPC Rules and BS EN 12845 requirements.
• Experience producing hydraulic calculations.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed sprinkler designs from concept to construction and commissioning.
• Produce hydraulic calculations and ensure system performance to standards.
• Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD, Revit and BIM tools.
• Coordinate designs with other building services and construction teams.
• Support project delivery from design through handover and commissioning.
