Job summary

Grafters Recruitment Consultants Ltd seeks a Spray Painter / Shotblaster to support manufacturing operations on a temporary ongoing basis. The role focuses on painting, surface preparation, and efficient use of equipment to meet customer requirements.

Ideal candidates will have paint spraying experience with shot blasting, familiarity with EHS & COSHH, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Training will be provided where needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow paint and surface prep instructions.
• Maintain and service technical equipment.
• Safely store and dispose of chemical waste.
• Maintain manufacturing documentation and MRP transactions.
• Drive continuous improvements; support product improvement and cost reduction initiatives (A3 projects as applicable).
• Maintain a clean and tidy workplace (5S/TPM).

Job description

My client is seeking a Spray Painter / Shotblaster to join their thriving business on a temporary ongoing basis.

The role is to support within the manufacturing process to exceed customer expectations and fulfil all requirements. Experience within a similar role is preferable however extensive training will be provided.

Duties to include

1. Work in compliance with paint and surface preparation work instructions.
2. Maintain technical equipment ensuring good working order.
3. Safely store and dispose of chemical waste.
4. Maintain manufacturing documentation and MRP transactions.
5. Champion continuous improvements to assist in overcoming problems and make recommendations to the following.
   • Product improvement. (May involve A3 projects)
   • Reduce cost by utilising tools and equipment to their full potential.
   • (Standard work/Set up reduction/waste minimisation.)
6. Work in a clean and tidy manner (5S/TPM).
