Senior Quantitative Analyst / Researcher

My client is seeking a skilled quantitative analyst/researcher to develop models and trading strategies for sports markets. They currently trade Soccer, Tennis & Horse Racing, but are open to those with different sports modelling / trading experience. This role combines expertise in predictive modeling and data analysis with insights from the sports domain to create competitive models.

This is an opportunity to work remotely and independently; the ideal person for this role will have previous experience finding edges and inefficiencies within the sports market and modelling betting strategies.

My client is seeking quants / modellers to come on board and apply these models remotely, finding niches in different sports.

Responsibilities:

1. Designing predictive models for sports outcome forecasting
2. Back-testing and refining models
3. Collaborating with the trading team
4. Working in a fast-moving environment
5. Utilizing a modern data science stack, including Polars, DuckDB, and dbt

Requirements:

• Strong mathematical foundation, ideally in probability, statistics, or machine learning
