Job description

We are looking for a dynamic Sports Massage/ Soft Tissue Therapist to join the team on a self-employed basis.

Reporting to the Clinic Manager, you'll be an integral member of the clinic’s multidisciplinary team. You'll be expected to provide the highest standard of care to a self-pay and private medical insured patient caseload, by consistently delivering against our well-established and evidence-based clinical pathways from initial triage to discharge.

As a great communicator, you'll build long-lasting and fruitful relationships with your client base, in addition to being an active multidisciplinary team member.

Key Responsibilities

1. Take professional responsibility as a Sports Massage/ Soft Tissue Therapist with high-level decision-making, autonomy, and clinical-reasoning skills, to assess and treat.
2. Comply with all Bodyset policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring that product delivery and customer experience are consistent.
3. Communicate effectively with clients and/or parents and carers, respecting privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
4. Communicate effectively with referring parties so that all clients receive continued and uninterrupted care.
5. Counsel clients about optimal nutrition, exercise, equipment/devices, sleeping habits, stress management, and other matters that promote positive wellbeing.
6. Proactively attract returning and new client business to the clinic, including leading corporate workshops as prepared by yourself and the partnerships manager, to existing, new, and prospective clients.
7. Strive to continually improve clinic standards and identify risks to the Clinic Manager.
8. Maintain accurate client documentation, records, and statistical information, completing them in a timely manner and in line with contractual service level agreements.
9. Continuously develop as a Sports Massage/ Soft Tissue Therapist and evidence continued professional development (CPD).
10. Abide by relevant governing body (e.g., SMA) guidelines when treating patients.
11. Support the clinic’s multidisciplinary team to develop service improvements.

Required Experience/Qualifications

• Sports massage qualification & relevant insurance protection.
• Ability to work as an autonomous practitioner, whilst delivering Bodyset clinical pathways.
• Evidence of your continued professional development.
• Excellent organisational, time management, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written English skills and effective use of Microsoft Office programs.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications

• Previous evidence of generating new business and managing your own client caseload.
• Previous experience practicing in the private healthcare sector.
