Job summary

The University of Reading is seeking a Sports Operations Coordinator to lead a small team within the SportsPark facilities. You will oversee daily operations, provide front-of-house support, and help maintain high standards of service and safety for campus users.

The role requires excellent communication, an interest in sport and fitness, and the ability to work flexibly across a shift pattern. Salary is competitive and linked to Grade 4.

Responsibilities

• Regularly act as a Team Leader on shift when required.
• Assist the Sports Facilities Managers with daily operational procedures.
• Oversee the Sports Assistants and ensure training and development.
• Provide front-of-house support to members and users.
• Maintain cleanliness and standards of the SportsPark.
• Provide first aid on duty and ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed.
