Job summary

The Supply Register, in partnership with Fordbridge Primary School, seeks a Sports Coach or PE Teacher to join from January 2027 on a 12-month contract. You will deliver engaging PE sessions to pupils in Years 2-6, promoting confidence, teamwork and a love of sport.

Role involves working with pupils with additional needs in an inclusive setting and collaborating with support staff to ensure accessible activities. A relevant sports coaching or PE teaching qualification is essential.

Qualifications

• Holds a relevant sports coaching qualification or has appropriate PE teaching qualifications.
• Experience working within a primary or secondary school setting.
• Confident delivering sports and physical education sessions to children from Year 2 to Year 6.
• Able to manage groups of children effectively and create a positive learning environment.
• Understands inclusion and supporting children with additional needs, including autism and ADHD.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, patient and passionate about helping children reach their potential.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach or PE Teacher to join Fordbridge Primary School from January 2027 on a 12-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about sport, physical education and helping primary-aged children develop their skills, confidence and love of physical activity.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive sports and PE sessions to pupils from Year 2 to Year 6, helping children develop their physical abilities, teamwork, confidence and enjoyment of sport.

The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism and ADHD. Some pupils have dedicated one-to-one support in lessons, and you will need to be confident in working collaboratively with support staff to ensure activities are accessible, inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.
