About The Role

Sports Coach (Behavioural Support)

Salisbury

£13.68 per hour

Start Date: Monday 28th April 2025 or 2nd September 2025. Flexible start dates available.

Times: 08:30am – 3:30pm

Temporary – Permanent Position (Full Time)

The School and Role

Vision for Education is currently recruiting a Sports Coach to work in a specialist education and care service based in Salisbury. The service caters for young people aged with a range of needs, including social, emotional and mental health (SEMH), complex needs such as attachment disorders, trauma, or anxiety, high-functioning autism spectrum disorder (ASD), pathological demand avoidance (PDA), and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The role involves transferring into a classroom setting to work as a SEND Teaching Assistant.

Please note: This role is classroom-based in a school.

Requirements

The desired Sports Coach will have:

  • Experience working with primary and secondary school-aged children
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH, complex needs, trauma, and high-functioning autism
  • A passion for pupil progress
  • An ability to work as part of a team
