Job summary

Shine is recruiting a Community Activator Coach apprentice to gain hands-on experience in physical education, leading activities and supporting after-school clubs in Bristol. You’ll train both practically and theory, under supervision, during school terms and school holidays.

The program lasts 2 years with duties including resource prep, activity setup, behaviour support, and classroom assistance, while you progress towards a Level 2 training course and DBS clearance.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship includes practical and theory training.
• DBS check required.
• Willingness to travel between schools.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience working with pupils of different ages and abilities, setting up activities and leading small groups.
• Assist with preparing resources and equipment, help manage behaviour, and support teachers with daily classroom duties.
• Record pupil progress and supervise breaks or lunchtime activities; maintain safe, tidy and engaging learning spaces.
