About this Role

Job Title Sports Coach Apprentice

Employment Status: Fixedterm for 18 months

Working Hours: 30 hours per week, Allyear round

Actual Salary: Apprenticeship rate inline with government guidelines

Full time equivalent salary: £8.00 an hour £12,514 per annum, pro rata

About the role

We are seeking to appoint an apprentice sports coach to joinour team. The successful apprentice will be expected to apply themselves to theapprenticeship with commitment and diligence. The apprentice will also be berequired to commit to the school's values and ethos.

The postholder will need to deliver engaging multisporttraining programmes to children/young people including those who have special physical, emotional and educationalneeds.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Hasgood communication skills
  • Canwork as part of a team
  • Hasgood literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ismotivated to develop as an individual and complete the training to achieve theapprenticeship qualification

All staff are expected to know whatto do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility forproviding a safe environment and promoting children's welfare, undertakeregular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselveswith KCSIEpart 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.
