Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned hotel with golf nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury hotel provides a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular venue for weddings.

Over the last few years, the hotel has undergone major renovations in bedrooms, restaurant, residents lounge, sports bar, and all public areas. This year, we will start our new spa, leisure areas, meeting rooms, and an additional 24 bedrooms. The leisure facilities, including the new spa, bedrooms, and meeting space, will open in 2026.

Main duties and purpose of the role:

As a Bunkers F&B Assistant, you are responsible for helping your department deliver an excellent guest and team member experience, in accordance with the Aldwark Manor Estate Service Standards. Working hours are between 7 am and midnight, five days per week, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

F&B Assistants need food service and waiting skills, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate well with guests. They should also have knowledge of food preparation and hygiene standards, and work well as part of a team. A successful candidate will typically have:

• Experience working in a restaurant, bar, or retail environment
• Ability to work in different areas of Food and Beverage, including breakfast, bar, restaurant, conference, and events
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for guest service
• Ability to complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
• Compliance with brand standards
• Ability to manage guest queries and complaints effectively
• Assist Bunkers Manager in achieving financial targets
• Carrying out cleaning duties with awareness of safety and security policies, and completing relevant records daily
• Recording wastage and breakages accurately and assisting with stock ordering as needed
• Ensuring the effective operation of the Golf Shop in the absence of the Golf Shop Assistant or Head of Golf
