Parkdean Resorts UK Limited is seeking an enthusiastic and safety‑focused Assistant Activity & Leisure Manager to lead our swimming pool and on‑park activity programme. This hands‑on role supports guest experience and ensures safe, compliant operations across a fast‑paced leisure environment.

You’ll work with the Activity & Leisure Manager to maintain high standards, lead teams, and deliver a fun programme for guests of all ages, including lifeguard‑related duties and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• NPLQ Lifeguard qualification or strong swimmer willing to achieve it.
• Experience supporting or managing a team within leisure, hospitality, or a customer-focused environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with team and guests.
• Good commercial awareness with understanding of guest experience and operational efficiency.
• First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).
• Pool Plant Operations or Lifeguard Trainer Assessor qualifications (desirable).
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
• Friendly, guest-focused mindset and passion for delivering exceptional leisure experiences.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the swimming pool and activities programme to an excellent standard, ensuring outstanding guest service.
• Prepare and support with weekly staffing rotas in line with operational needs and compliance requirements.
• Ensure guest and team safety by following all health & safety, safeguarding, and operational procedures.
• Assist in maintaining pool plant equipment, reporting issues promptly, and ensuring facilities operate safely and efficiently.
• Carry out water quality and chemical testing, taking corrective action where required, and maintaining accurate records.
• Follow correct opening and closing procedures for pool facilities, plant rooms, and equipment.
• Support the handling of guest feedback and complaints, ensuring quick and positive resolutions.
• Help supervise, coach, and develop leisure and lifeguard teams, contributing to regular 1‑2‑1s and ongoing performance support.

About you...
