Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a Sports & Behaviour SEND Teaching Assistant for a secondary setting in Tower Hamlets. The role involves using sport to boost engagement and providing 1:1 and small-group support to students with Autism, ADHD and SEMH.

You will help pupils regulate emotions, regain focus for classroom learning, and build confidence, communication and social skills while working with SEND teachers and behaviour teams. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance apply.

£105–£120 per day – Full-Time – Long-Term – September Start

About You

• Background in sports coaching, PE, mentoring, youth work or SEND
• Confident working with teenagers
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Comfortable managing challenging behaviour
• Positive, energetic and resilient personality
• SEND school experience desirable but not essential
