Job summary

UK Sport is seeking a Sport Advisor to lead organisational health relationships with National Governing Bodies, providing high-quality advice, assurance and practical support. You will review progress, identify risks and opportunities, and help senior leaders strengthen governance and performance across funded partners.

You will work closely with CEOs, Chairs and boards, attending key meetings and coordinating with Performance Advisors.

Qualifications

• Experience working with senior leaders to understand, assure and improve how an organisation works, including governance, finance, leadership, culture, risk, sustainability and international relations.
• Ability to review a partner’s progress in organisational health using data, conversations and judgement to inform high‑quality guidance.
• Strong understanding of organisational health and how national sports bodies operate, with ability to influence improvement.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the UK and occasionally internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead UK Sport’s organisational health relationship with a portfolio of NGBs, providing trusted advice, assurance and practical support.
• Review progress, identify risks and opportunities, and support joined‑up decisions to achieve high performance ambitions.
• Engage with CEOs, Chairs and Board members, attending meetings and relevant committees to strengthen partnerships.
• Collaborate with Performance Advisors and other teams to ensure coordinated investment and support.
• Support international relations activity and may attend performance camps and competitions.
