Job summary

Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne is recruiting a full-time Sport Assistant to ensure the daily operation of Sport Central, delivering a welcoming, safe and outstanding experience for customers.

Based at Sport Central with occasional work at Coach Lane Sports Ground, you will undertake direct customer-facing services and operational duties, contributing to the university's sport, fitness and wellbeing programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or hospitality.
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive problem solving in practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of Sport Central facilities.
• Deliver a welcoming, safe and outstanding customer experience.
• Perform a variety of customer-facing roles within Sport Central.
• Work as part of Northumbria Sport to support events and programming.
