Full-Time Temporary to permanent

Are you a sports coach looking for supply/long-term work within schools? Do you have experience working with 4-16 year olds with additional learning requirements and challenging behaviour?

Look no further - we have the ideal role for you!

GSL Education is currently recruiting a Sports Specialist to work at an SEN Primary-Secondary school, providing 1:1 and group support.

The Role Includes:

  • Providing 1:1 behaviour interventions for pupils with challenging behaviour and mental health difficulties
  • Supporting group activities and using sports as an enrichment activity
  • Assisting the Class Teacher with daily tasks and planning
  • Leading sports activities indoors and outdoors
  • Supporting planning, assessments, and marking
  • Identifying triggers of specific behaviours
  • Using sports as a method of de-escalation
  • Acting as a positive role model

The Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience coaching/working with children or young people with additional needs
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour, autism, and social and emotional mental health
  • Relevant sports qualifications (multiple sports qualifications are an advantage)
  • DBS certificate registered to the update service
  • Immediate availability for long-term roles
