Sport and Physical Activity Coordinator (Referral): Glasgow Life

Location: Emirates Arena, 1000 London Road, Glasgow, G40 3HG

Glasgow Life is seeking a Sport and Physical Activity Coordinator (Referral) to join our team on a 35-hour full-time permanent contract. You will be part of our in-demand Sport and Wellbeing Team, supporting individuals to be physically active across Glasgow.

The Role

You will support the Physical Activity Team by coordinating programmes aimed at helping individuals with long-term health conditions engage in physical activity. Reporting to the Sport and Physical Activity Development Officer, you will collaborate with an established team to develop and deliver these programmes.

Candidate Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Essential: A professional qualification in exercise referral, science, or a related field.
  • Desirable: Experience supporting individuals with long-term health conditions to become physically active.
  • Essential: A flexible, person-centred approach tailored to individual needs.
  • Essential: Ability to evaluate and report on programme outcomes effectively.
  • Desirable: Skills in scheduling and managing participants to ensure smooth programme delivery.

Additional Information

We offer hybrid working arrangements, with teams working between the office and home, subject to agreement with your line manager. Our Emirates Arena location offers free parking and is accessible via public transport.

The role primarily involves working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with occasional evening or weekend shifts as required.
