Rocket Sports is a sports marketing and consultancy helping athletes, rights holders and brands navigate the commercial side of sport.Co-founded by Sir Elton John in 2012, we work with some of the world’s best-known athletes, teams, clubs, federations, and commissioners.

We create rocket-fuelled marketing partnerships and original productions by delivering best-in-class commercial resource for our clients.

This role is an exciting opportunity to play a central part in growing commercial investment in British sport, working directly with regional sports bodies to unlock sponsorship from local and national brands. A key feature of the partnership packages includes high-profile hospitality assets at major sporting events, making this a unique sales role with both local impact and premium access.

You’ll be responsible for developing a sales pipeline, generating leads, converting new partnerships, and serving as the lead point of contact for our clients. You’ll also help upskill and support regional representatives, sharing tools and insights to improve their own commercial capabilities.

The role spans both advisory support and hands-on sales delivery, ensuring local tennis can unlock greater brand partnerships and community impact.

Role Responsibilities:

-Reporting to the Brand Director, the primary role for the Sponsorship Sales Manager is to develop and lead the sponsorship and hospitality sales process for selected regional bodies, focusing on both new business and upsell opportunities.

-Build and manage a live pipeline of prospects, including lead generation, outreach, pitching and closing.

-Support premium hospitality sales to brands aligned with the values and ambitions of the sport.

-Develop and tailor commercial proposals, with access to in-house design support.

-Serve as the day-to-day sales contact for regional representatives and stakeholders.

-Provide sales tools and training to improve the quality and consistency of local outreach.

-Track all activity and report on pipeline, outreach metrics and deal conversion.

-Work closely with a Senior Director to shape outreach strategy, market targeting and account plans.

-Become a well-regarded and likeable character within the sports marketing industry with a reputation for creating and delivering fantastic partnerships in an authentic way.

Key Qualities We're Looking For:

-3–5 years’ experience in sponsorship sales, hospitality sales or business development

-A track record of success in sales, ideally in sport or events

-Well-organised with experience managing a live pipeline

-Ability to craft compelling, bespoke sponsorship proposals

-A working knowledge of the UK tennis landscape is preferred, but not essential

-A natural writer, with clear, concise, and persuasive writing and speaking skills.

-A 'roll up the sleeves' mindset, ready to tackle challenges head-on.
