Job summary

Capita is recruiting Sponsored Reserve Firefighters to join the RAF firefighting force, blending civilian firefighting with Defence aims in the UK and overseas. This role trains, is supported, and trusted to make a real difference.

We welcome applicants from any firefighting background or career-change, with a possible Level 3 Firefighter Apprenticeship. The rotation includes 4 months overseas and 16 months in the UK, with a competitive starting salary and deployment payments.

Qualifications

• Be UK or RoI citizen, dual national, or Commonwealth citizen at birth.
• Have lived in the UK for at least 5 years (3 years may be considered).
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Meet fitness standards and pre-joining tests.
• Meet medical/health standards including eyesight.

Responsibilities

• Respond to real incidents in high-pressure environments.
• Work with specialist equipment and RAF teams.
• Support Defence operations in the UK and overseas.
• Be part of a close-knit, professional team.
