Job summary

Jobylon AB in the United Kingdom is seeking a Production Operative, relief Spiral Machine Operator, to join our team and support KPI achievement under the Production & Compliance Manager.

You will operate and maintain sheet metal machinery, perform checks, log activities, and contribute to high-quality duct fittings and components while upholding safety and documentation standards. The role includes forklift use when required and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal production or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate and maintain machinery, including inspections and maintenance.
• Strong Health & Safety awareness and understanding of PPE and safe handling procedures.
• Accurate record-keeping for production logs and maintenance documentation.
• Willingness to support team members and participate in ongoing training.
• FLT experience, with training available.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sheet metal machinery, including Spiral Forming Machine, to meet production targets while ensuring quality.
• Perform pre-use checks, routine cleaning, and basic maintenance, logging activities accurately.
• Produce duct fittings and spirally wound tubes, inspecting for defects and reporting issues promptly.
• Follow SOPs and complete production documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain health and safety practices, PPE, machine guards, safe handling, and tidy workspace.
• Monitor materials and stock levels; liaise with Sales and Assistant Production Manager to support needs.
• Assist training for new or relief staff on machinery operation and safety.
• Operate forklift when required.
