Job summary

Ashford and St. Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Middle Grade in Orthopaedics to join a two-site service across Ashford and St Peter's.

You will provide cover on the on-call rota and work with a team of orthopaedic surgeons to deliver elective and emergency care. The role requires substantial experience in Orthopaedics at SPR level or above, teaching and audit activity, and the ability to operate independently while maintaining high standards of patient care across both

Qualifications

• Significant clinical experience in Orthopaedics (SPR level or above) including outpatient care.
• Evidence of continuing Medical Education and teaching experience.
• Capable of independent operating.
• Experience across orthopaedics and traumatology.
• Good communication and people skills with diverse patient groups.

Responsibilities

• To provide Senior Middle Grade cover for all orthopaedics duties including on-call rota.
• To work with orthopaedic surgeons across both sites to deliver efficient, high-quality service.
• To provide inpatient, day case and outpatient care for elective and emergency orthopaedic surgery.
• To maintain ongoing care responsibility and collaborate with colleagues for department function.
• To drive clinical audit as an ongoing programme and implement actions.
