Job summary

Libertatem Healthcare Group in Canterbury is seeking an experienced Spinal Injury Support Worker to join a 2:1 client ratio. The client is a male in his late 50s with a spinal injury; duties include personal care, catheter and bowel management, and daily support at home.

Salary £16.53 per hour on weekdays and £17.36 per hour on weekend days; shifts 8am-8pm, seven days a week. Zero-hour style flexibility applies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a similar role, supporting clients with high level spinal cord injury with complex needs.
• Experience with catheter care, bowel management and/or knowledge of Autonomic Dysreflexia.
• A valid UK driving licence essential to drive during shift.
• A caring and compassionate nature.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Role Overview:

We are offering an opportunity for experienced and dedicated Spinal Injury Support Workers to join our new client in Canterbury, working on a 2:1 ratio. Our client is a male in his late 50’s with a Spinal Injury following a road traffic accident. He has a catheter and requires daily support with bowel management, cough assist and nebulisers, plus monitoring for signs of autonomic dysreflexia. To support his independence, we’re seeking support workers who are confident, empathetic, and capable of building a strong, trusting relationship, with previous Spinal Injury experience.

Key Responsibilities:
