The Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking Health Care Assistants for the North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport District General Hospital. You will deliver direct daily care to help patients with hygiene, feeding, skin care and wheelchair mobility, within a 24-hour rotating shift pattern.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare / Care Certificate or be working towards it, with completion expected within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Communication skills are essential to work within a multi-professional team.
• NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare / Care Certificate or equivalent, or undertaking the course within 6 months of appointment.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct daily care to help patients achieve personal hygiene, eating and drinking, skin care and mobility in a wheelchair.
• Support rehabilitation efforts as part of the multi-professional team and assist with daily living activities.
