Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist Assistant to support individuals with communication or swallowing difficulties within SEN provision settings. You will deliver targeted activities, create learning tools, and collaborate with therapists, teachers and nurses to optimise progress.

You will maintain records, progress notes and adapt sessions as needed, while building rapport with vulnerable learners and their families.

Qualifications

• GCSE English/Maths at minimum
• Clear communication and active listening skills
• Willing to engage in continuing professional development (CPD)

Responsibilities

• Support children and adults with speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
• Deliver and support therapy activities in planned programs.
• Create learning tools, pictures and games to aid therapy.
• Progress monitoring and updating patient records and reports.
• Collaborate with teachers and multi-disciplinary teams to support learners.
