Job summary

Senovo Resourcing Ltd in Lewisham invites applications for a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to support children in a specialist SEN education setting. You will contribute to intervention plans, deliver targeted programmes and help track progress.

The role requires a relevant qualification, registration where required, safeguarding expertise and strong communication. QTS is not required; PAYE placement with dedicated recruiting support is offered.

Qualifications

• A relevant recognised professional qualification for the role.
• Appropriate professional registration or membership where required.
• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
• Strong communication, record-keeping and safeguarding practice.
• Useful experience includes communication programmes, progress recording, safeguarding, SEN schools, Speech and language support.
• QTS is not required for this therapy role.

Responsibilities

• Assess pupils’ needs and contribute to clear, practical intervention plans.
• Deliver individual and small-group programmes appropriate to the role.
• Monitor outcomes, maintain accurate records and provide useful recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with education staff, families and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Promote safe, ethical and inclusive practice at all times.
